What you'll do Oversee all post-licensing compliance obligations by managing a team of local MLROs responsible for different jurisdictions respectively Provide senior-level legal and regulatory interpretation on complex crypto-asset matters; advise Senior Management on regulatory strategy and jurisdictional risks Lead regulatory examinations, reviews, and enforcement actions; coordinate defense strategies, remediation plans, and negotiation of settlement terms or consent orders where necessary; manage external counsel for multi-jurisdictional matters Monitor regulatory developments, advise on control implications and be responsible for the required changes accordingly Act as the escalation point within Compliance for regulatory risk appetite breaches, license condition violations, or material regulatory threats to the exchange What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Law 12+ years in regulatory affairs with proven track record managing relationships with crypto-specific regulators; experience gained in regulators and crypto exchanges highly preferred Deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional crypto licensing frameworks, including post-licensing control obligations Sophisticated understanding of regulatory enforcement processes in the virtual asset sector and ability to navigate high-pressure supervisory interactions; experience managing regulatory crises Strategic mindset with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities; demonstrated ability to influence C-Suite executives and external counsel on complex regulatory strategy Superior drafting and negotiation skills; ability to interpret ambiguous crypto regulations and provide actionable, legally sound advice to business units building innovative products Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) Why Bitget?
