Morpho
is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol that raised $70 million from Ribbit Capital, a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, Brevan Howard, Pantera, Blocktower, and 50 others to build an open lending network giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms.
Morpho is experiencing explosive growth, with over $10 billion in deposits on the network, solidifying itself as the new standard for DeFi lending.
Now, Morpho is scaling its team of contributors to establish itself as a cornerstone, not just of DeFi, but of a new internet-native financial system.
Morpho's mission is to power human ambition with open access to capital.
Human ambition has no borders, but the capital to fuel it does.
Today's financial system is closed and fragmented.
No one sees all opportunities, most overpay, and some are excluded entirely.
We believe capital should flow efficiently to where it's needed most—giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms.
We move fast on hard problems in a nascent market with no set playbook: navigating uncertainty is part of the job.
You'll be challenged: anyone can question work and decisions must be justified.
We keep a high bar and match it with high support: we help each other unblock and share context openly, with low ego.
More about our values .
Architect and own end-to-end delivery of DeFi products with billions in TVL, from React/Next.js frontends through GraphQL/REST APIs to blockchain data indexers, ensuring sub-second response times for users Design and implement the API and SDK strategy enabling hundreds of integrators to build on Morpho's infrastructure, including versioning patterns, developer experience standards, and real-time streaming systems for high-frequency use cases Build and optimize high-performance data systems processing millions of on-chain events across 15+ blockchains, using intelligent caching and query optimization to maintain reliability at scale Lead technical architecture reviews and establish coding standards that raise the technical capability of 5-10 engineers across product teams Own observability and incident response across the stack, using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Sentry to ensure reliability for users and integrators What Success Looks Like Within 30 days: Ship a high-impact feature end-to-end that demonstrates competency across the full stack Complete an architecture review of current systems and propose a modernization roadmap Build working relationships with key stakeholders across product, protocol, and business teams Within 4 months: Lead delivery of a major product initiative from scoping to production Drive measurable improvements to API p95 latency through caching, query optimization, and architectural changes Within 1 year: Own technical architecture for an entire product vertical, with proven reliability and performance metrics Become the recognized technical authority for fullstack architecture decisions across the organization You Might Be a Fit If You Have 8-10+ years building fullstack applications at scale, with demonstrated impact on business metrics Proven track record architecting high-availability systems handling millions of requests daily Deep TypeScript expertise across client and server — React/Next.js, GraphQL (Apollo Server), Node.js, and typed contract interactions (viem) Hands-on experience building or maintaining on-chain data indexers (Ponder, Subsquid, or similar) and working knowledge of EVM event structures Track record of leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments without needing a defined playbook Strong ownership mindset — you drive things to completion and don't wait to be asked Clear, crisp async communication — you write well and can explain complex technical decisions simply Team-first approach — you make the engineers around you better, not just the codebase Humble
End-to-end ownership at real scale: $10B+ in TVL means performance issues affect real money.
You'll feel the impact of your work immediately.
Technical authority: This is a force-multiplier position with architecture decision rights across the full product org, not a ticket-taking IC role.
Protocol quality: Morpho's core is ~600 lines of code.
Simplicity-first is a genuine engineering philosophy that carries through to how the team operates.
Critical timing: The product layer is scaling fast to match protocol adoption.
You'll shape the technical foundation at an inflection point.
Compensation: P90 base salary via Pave benchmarks + MORPHO token grants, with real upside as the protocol grows.
We design benefits around deep work and growth, so you can do the best work of your career.
Expect fair, top-tier compensation, real flexibility, time together in Paris, great health coverage, and support to keep learning.
