You will lead day-to-day operations for Circle’s Treasury Shared Services function, ensuring the accurate, timely, and controlled execution of customer fund movements and banking-related workflows. This includes overseeing processes such as returns, redemptions, transaction investigations, and exception management, while maintaining strong operational discipline and risk controls. You will manage a team of analysts, serve as a key escalation point for operational issues, and partner cross-functionally with Banking, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Customer Support to resolve complex scenarios. This role is responsible for driving operational consistency, improving processes and tooling, and embedding automation and AI-assisted workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational quality across global operations. You will lead daily treasury operations across customer fund flows, including refunds, returns, redemptions, investigations, and exception handling. You will act as the primary escalation point for operational incidents, coordinating resolution with internal teams and external banking partners. You will oversee and improve workflows related to banking interactions, such as trace requests, wire returns, payment investigations, and callbacks. You will monitor operational performance through dashboards and SLAs, ensuring visibility, timely resolution, and consistent execution. You will partner with Engineering and Product to enhance internal tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows supporting treasury operations. You will identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, AI tooling, and process improvements, and drive adoption within the team. You will manage and develop a team of analysts, including performance management, prioritization, and coaching on complex operational cases.
7+ years of experience in treasury operations, payments, banking, fintech, or financial services, Experience managing payment workflows such as wires, refunds, returns, reconciliations, and transaction investigations, Experience leading or managing a team, including performance management and day-to-day oversight, Strong experience handling operational escalations across multiple stakeholders, including banking partners and internal teams, Proven ability to improve processes, documentation, and controls in a fast-paced environment, Strong attention to detail and judgment when handling sensitive financial transactions, Experience in fintech, digital assets, or regulated financial services environments, Familiarity with global payment networks, correspondent banking, and cross-border flows, Experience with operational tools such as JIRA, Confluence, dashboards, or banking platforms, Exposure to automation, data tools, or AI-assisted workflows (e.g., SQL, Python, workflow automation, or AI tooling)
