As a Senior Investment Data Analyst reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Services, you'll play a critical role in driving data quality and integrity across Nasdaq's Public and Private Markets datasets, with a strong emphasis on firm- and fund-level coverage. This role requires prior experience working with Public or Private Markets data—or ideally both—given the breadth and interconnected nature of the datasets. You will own complex data audit initiatives, design scalable controls, and translate data findings into long-term, actionable solutions.
Strong SQL proficiency is expected, enabling you to work effectively across datasets and support complex data analysis and validation.
You'll thrive in this position if you're analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about investment data — comfortable working with SQL as a core tool — and ready to make a measurable impact in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sophisticated data audits across Private and Public Markets, ensuring accuracy of fund structures, metadata, and performance information.
Design and develop SQL-based audit frameworks and Power BI dashboards to detect data quality risks and track governance metrics.
Help define and prototype a multi-tier audit framework using Python and SQL, translating validated logic into requirements for engineering teams.
Identify root causes of recurring data issues and drive process improvements that enhance scalability and reliability.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, raising team standards and promoting best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated experience in investment data, financial services, or advanced analytics roles.
Proven experience with Private and/or Public Markets fund data, including static attributes and performance metrics.
Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, validation logic, and audit framework development.
Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards for operational or analytical reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting institutional investment research platforms or client-facing analytics products.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks, audit methodologies, or operational risk controls.
Progress toward or completion of CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional certification.
