We’ve recently launched our Options trading platform, already operating at ~$700M+ daily volume. We are now entering the most critical phase: stabilisation, product-market fit, and scaling to 4× over the next 2 years.
This role is not about building from scratch. It’s about turning a high-potential but fragile system into a high-trust, high-scale trading platform.
You will own the core trading experience — execution reliability, latency, liquidity experience, and system integrity — directly impacting trader P&L and platform revenue.
The key responsibilities for this role would be to -
* Scale platform from $700M → $1.5B+ ADV without degradation * Handle volatility spikes, market events, and peak loads 4. Trader Retention Loop
* Improve repeat trader behaviour (WTU retention) * Build systems that make traders stay and trust the platform 5. Risk & System Integrity
* Lead a high-performing backend team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
You’ll Excel in This Role If You Have
* Experience building or scaling high-throughput, low-latency systems * Strong understanding of trading systems / exchanges / order matching / market microstructure * Proven ability to own business-critical metrics (not just delivery) * Experience handling real-time systems under load (1000s TPS) * Strong product sense - ability to connect engineering decisions → trader experience * Strong leadership skills with experience leading high-performing teams of 8–10+ members.
