Responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day management and operation of Circle’s Product Risk Management function, partnering with Product Managers to identify, assess, prioritize, mitigate, and report on product risks, and supporting the overall Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. The role also involves helping drive business strategy by collecting and analyzing data to track product performance (user behavior, product usage, customer feedback), identifying improvement opportunities, and presenting insights. You will work with executives and C-level leaders to define cross-org processes for increased execution efficiencies and cross-team collaboration, drive product processes (development, user research, launch), and select/roll out tools (product management software, data analysis tools). Key tasks include driving product-related policy management, issue management, change management, risk assessment, third-party risk management, and training, as well as building standards for the product team (documentation, testing, release management). Ensuring product and XFN teams follow standard launch processes, identify/mitigate risks, and monitor product risks post-launch is crucial. The role leads assessments, monitoring, and reporting on inherent business risks (compliance, legal, security, finance, 3rd parties), supports ongoing risk management with ERM, leads periodic reviews, executive reporting, and recommends policy updates, and works with auditors and regulators.
Qualifications: 10+ years working in risk management for B2B and B2C products, experience working in a financial services, payments or technology companies, executive presence with an ability to influence and work hands-on with other cross-functional team leaders, such as lawyers, engineers, and product managers, experience leading diverse teams in a complex, matrixed organization, experience working at the intersection of Product and Risk and a solid understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and frameworks, including knowledge of market, credit, operational, and compliance risk, ability to build and define Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and programs, experience in embedding a risk culture in a rapidly growing business environment, preferable technology or financial services, proficiency in data analyses using SQL, partner with leaders effectively employing clear and structured communication to tell a “story” focused on business insights & data
