Senior Data Engineer Application

About the Role As a Senior Data Engineer Application, you will design and implement robust data pipelines and customer facing data integrations. You will build scalable systems on cloud platforms, develop end-to-end ETL processes, and enrich financial data with third party data sources. You will apply AI assisted approaches where appropriate and collaborate with product and customer facing teams to deliver reliable data services.

Requirements BSc in Computer Science. Strong background as a software engineer with at least 3+ years of experience in Java. 5+ years in data engineering and data pipeline development in high-volume low-latency production environments. Experience with monitoring systems Prometheus and Grafana. Experience with data engineering cloud technologies such as Apache Airflow Kubernetes ClickHouse Snowflake Redis caching technologies and Kafka. Proven experience with relational non-relational and time series databases. Proficient in SQL and query optimization. Experience designing infrastructure at scale to maintain high availability SLAs. Curiosity and ability to work independently and proactively identify solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a remote environment and across functions. Experience in fintech crypto or trading industries and familiarity with FIX and market data is a plus.

Responsibilities Design and implement customer facing integrations of various asset types into the data pipelines. Design and develop the data team's microservices including Java services running on Kubernetes and in AWS. Develop, design, and maintain end-to-end ETL workflows including data ingestion and transformation across multiple data sources. Enrich financial data through third party data integrations including FIX CSV JSON and other formats such as market and reference data. Apply AI first solution approach coding with AI agents such as Claude in accordance with architectural and coding conventions. Plan and communicate integrations with other teams that consume the data to create insights and collaborate with product and customer facing teams. Address data duplication velocity schema adherence and versioning high availability and data governance.
