Provide full life-cycle leadership for one or multiple complex commercial construction projects, from preconstruction and contract execution through closeout and warranty. Scope includes procurement, scheduling, staffing, budgeting, quality control, safety, and client satisfaction.
Serve as the senior point of accountability for project performance, working closely with Superintendents and field leadership on mobilization, site logistics, safety planning, subcontractor coordination, and execution strategy.
Lead, direct, and align all project stakeholders, including owners, developers, architects, engineers, internal project teams, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and property managers.
Establish and maintain project controls for schedule, cost, quality, and risk. Proactively identify issues and implement corrective actions to protect schedule, margin, and client relationships.
Drive project communication strategy, ensuring timely, clear, and professional updates to clients, ownership, and internal leadership regarding progress, risks, changes, and forecasts.
Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers. Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of critical project deliverables.
Oversee and guide all construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, change management, meeting documentation, reporting, and closeout, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and contractual compliance.
Act as the project executive for all financial aspects of assigned projects, including:
Budget development and buyout strategy
Cost tracking, forecasting, and margin protection
Change order negotiation and execution
Client billing and pay applications
Lien management and contractual risk mitigation
Collaborate with executive leadership and preconstruction teams on project planning, value engineering, constructability reviews, and transition from preconstruction to operations.
Uphold and promote company standards for safety, quality, professionalism, and ethical business practices across all projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 7–10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with demonstrated success managing large-scale or complex projects.
Deep knowledge of the South Florida commercial construction market, including local codes, permitting processes, subcontractor landscape, and owner expectations.
Proven strength in project financial management, contract administration, and risk management.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage teams, influence stakeholders, and resolve conflicts effectively.
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, with a high level of professionalism in client-facing situations.
