Analytics Engineer
Trolley is growing quickly and we are hiring for a full-time Analytics Engineer to join our team.
Hybrid role based in our Montreal, Toronto, or Halifax office.

Trolley is seeking a self-driven, analytical individual to join our team as an Analytics Engineer. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics, this role manages the end-to-end data pipeline. You will be responsible for empowering data informed decisions throughout the Trolley team, our Merchants, and Recipients. The ideal candidate will have experience with the toolset required (ELT, Warehousing, BI, etc) and have driven healthy data cultures across organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Extract and Load through any means possible. Connectors, API, CSV, and more.
- Transform data for enabling others to query and service themselves with ever-expanding use-cases.
- Be fluent in modern AI tools and look for ways to apply them to real business problems.
- Champion AI adoption across the organization, spot opportunities, experiment with new approaches, and help others unlock value from AI.
- Scale the Data Pipeline to manage costs, speeds, and security trade-offs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop reports that speak for themselves, enabling business operations and reporting.
- Own and lead Data Initiatives.
- Collaboration with the Engineering team for best practices, and improved technical management of Data Pipelines.
- Mature business-wide analysis acumen and enablement.
- Perform ROI Analysis on Trolley’s Key Initiatives.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as defined by the management team.
Requirements:
- Experience with end-to-end management of data pipelines
- Excellent communication of data related topics
- Strong SQL Skills
- Experience with version control systems(eg Git)
- Experience using techniques that enable team code ownership (test-driven development, literate code, separation of concerns)
