Engineering Manager Fiat Payments & Banking Infrastructure

About the Role You will lead Fiat Payments and Banking Infrastructure initiatives with a passion for building highly scalable financial systems You are a technologist who loves programming a product mindset and a drive for technical excellence You empower colleagues to deliver results and you focus on impact through strong technical leadership

Requirements 7+ years of software engineering experience focusing on backend systems APIs and microservices for B2B integrations 2+ years of engineering management experience including managing senior level engineers BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience Golang expertise with idiomatic Go Domain expertise in Fiat Payments Banking as a Service or Fintech with familiarity in ACH RTP FedNow SEPA and SWIFT Experience overseeing integration with third party financial services or banking APIs Knowledge of financial compliance and security standards related to fiat money movements including KYC AML and data privacy Expertise in designing and operating large scale distributed systems handling sensitive financial data and high transaction volumes with reliability Experience driving technical strategy and architectural decisions for complex highly available systems Excellent client facing communication and presentation skills to represent engineering to external banking partners customers and executives Experience collaborating with external engineering teams at partner banks to guide integrations troubleshoot connections and gather feedback Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear language for technical and non technical audiences including Sales Product Legal and external partners Experience partnering with product management to define product requirements influence roadmaps and balance speed quality and technical debt

Responsibilities Deliver products and features that support fiat infrastructure and banking integrations Collaborate with product and program managers to ensure the roadmap is understood and outcomes are achievable Lead technical planning to ensure product requirements are captured in the architectural design Collaborate with other engineering managers to advance the overall technical roadmap Support engineers in achieving a high level of technical excellence and platform resiliency Manage processes to enable high performance and interface with other parts of the organization Recruit, coach, and develop engineers and help them establish career development plans Contribute to engineering wide initiatives as part of leadership Participate in technical design and product discussions with leaders across product finance and operations Collaborate with stakeholders to build a clear vision for the initiative Oversee projects and achieve measurable results around payment latency throughput and uptime Contribute to the codebase and system architecture with Golang
