About the Role As a Financial Crime Analyst you will support the operation of financial crime controls across APAC you will conduct customer due diligence review transactions monitor suspicious activity and assist with reporting you will coordinate with the Director of Financial Crime and APAC MLROs and contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance.
Requirements Minimum 2 years’ experience in an AML/CFT financial crime or compliance operations role with hands-on exposure to investigations alert handling and escalation processes. Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to document investigations clearly and accurately. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities independently. Familiarity with cryptocurrency digital assets or blockchain-based products is desirable. Experience working within a licensed financial institution or payments services provider is advantageous. Knowledge of APAC regulatory expectations (e.g., Malaysia Singapore Australia) is beneficial but not essential.
Responsibilities Conduct AML and financial crime investigations and prepare internal suspicious transaction reports for escalation in accordance with internal procedures. Review and support the escalation of alerts relating to adverse media PEPs and sanctions screening. Perform ongoing customer monitoring activities including enhanced due diligence and periodic customer reviews. Undertake transaction monitoring and investigations across both fiat and crypto products identifying unusual or potentially suspicious activity. Support transaction testing data validation and the ongoing enhancement and optimisation of transaction monitoring systems scenarios and rules. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the APAC and Global Risk & Compliance teams to resolve regulatory AML/CFT and operational compliance matters. Provide operational support to the Director of Financial Crime APAC Head of Compliance and APAC MLROs including Singapore and Australia on ongoing projects regulatory requests and ad hoc matters. Carry out other duties as reasonably assigned consistent with the nature and level of the role.
