THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare chance to own technical hiring at a fast-growing AI company in life sciences. You'll be the person who builds our engineering, product, and data teams from the ground up defining the sourcing strategies, interview rigor, and technical hiring bar that will shape Solstice's technical org as we scale.
Your time will be split across two core areas: 90% Technical Recruiting and 10% Recruiting Operations & Process.
TECHNICAL RECRUITING (90%)
Own full-cycle recruiting across technical functions: software engineering, ML/AI, infrastructure, data, and product
Partner with engineering leaders and founders to define role requirements, leveling, and the technical hiring bar
Build and manage a deep pipeline of top technical talent through proactive sourcing, referrals, and employer brand
Run technical sourcing across hard-to-fill, competitive AI and engineering roles
Design a structured, consistent technical interview process (including calibrating screens, take-homes, and panels) that scales with the team
Track recruiting metrics and iterate on what's working
RECRUITING OPERATIONS & PROCESS (10%)
Help build and maintain recruiting infrastructure: ATS hygiene, scorecards, interviewer training, and process documentation
Support onboarding to ensure new technical hires ramp quickly and feel set up for success
Manage relationships with technical recruiting agencies and external partners as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong emphasis on technical/engineering hiring, ideally at a high-growth startup
Proven track record of owning full-cycle technical recruiting and closing competitive engineering, ML, or product candidates
Strong technical sourcing skills and the credibility to engage senior engineers and technical leaders
Comfortable defining and calibrating a technical hiring bar alongside founders and engineering managers
Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive candidate and team matters
Excellent communicator who can work closely with founders and individual contributors alike
Organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
NICE TO HAVE
Prior experience recruiting for AI/ML, infrastructure, or applied research roles
Experience at a healthcare, life sciences, or B2B SaaS company
Familiarity with tools like Ashby or similar HR/ATS platforms
Experience scaling a technical team from seed to Series A or beyond
