MegaLabs is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join our legal team.
The successful candidate will report to the General Counsel and work on novel legal issues while having autonomy, career growth, and leadership exposure.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about crypto, intellectually curious, hard working, and a problem solver.
What you'll work on:Core Focus: The role will focus on a wide-array of transactional matters as a trusted partner to MegaLabs' Strategy, Product, Ecosystem, and Finance teams.
You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and have strong communication skills.- Structure, negotiate, and draft a wide-range of fintech, SaaS, blockchain, and collaboration agreements.- Address legal risk in business-centric ways with the goal of strengthening partnerships and advancing opportunities.- Support the creation and expansion of contract templates and terms of use to reflect new and existing products and services.- Assist business leaders with contract interpretation and management.Product: Advise stakeholders on legal aspects of novel product development initiatives, including with respect to regulatory risk and terms of use.Corporate Governance: Manage corporate governance issues for MegaLabs and collaborate with corporate stakeholders, including management and board members.
What you'll bring to MegaLabs:- 5+ years of practical, hands-on legal experience, both law firm and in-house experience are preferred.- Experience drafting and negotiating financial services and tech agreements.- An understanding of blockchain ecosystems across verticals (e.g., DeFi, RWAs, tokenized assets, NFTs, gaming, payments) as well as the relevant regulatory implications.- You are passionate about the potential of cryptocurrency and blockchains, are a team player with a sense of humor, and enjoy learning.- Comfort operating outside of your comfort zone in a rapidly evolving, high-velocity environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.- You can work autonomously and independently with guidance but are also comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.- You have a demonstrated experience and/or strong interest in crypto/web3.
