About the Role
You will lead US spot exchange operations and Bahamas spot and derivatives exchange operations and you will build and maintain an internal trading desk. You will oversee a globally distributed trading ops team delivering 24 by 5 service. You will directly engage with customers to provide world class service identify and resolve trade differences process corrections and reconciliations and you will work with engineering to bring crypto products to market while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Experienced running middle back office trade operations for a brokerage or crypto exchange
- Built and managed a globally distributed customer service focused team providing world class 24 5 service coverage
- Experience trading crypto professionally
- Experience in US crypto regulations
Responsibilities
- Lead US spot exchange operations for Alpaca
- Lead Bahamas spot and derivatives exchange operations for Alpaca
- Build and maintain the internal trading desk
- Build and manage a globally distributed trade ops team providing 24 by 5 service coverage
- Directly engage with customers to provide world class service
- Review identify and resolve trade differences
- Process trade corrections and cancellations
- Inventory account reconciliation
- Provide input into new procedures and revisions to existing operations procedures and processes
- Manage the trading desk and collaborate with engineering to build and monitor trading systems performing automated hedging strategies
- Manage global fiat banking relationships
- Maintain relationships with liquidity providers token projects and vendors
- Assist with financial and regulatory audits
- Work closely with engineering to bring industry leading crypto products to market
