Lead and continuously develop Bybit EU's independent Compliance function, ensuring it operates effectively as the company scales across Europe.

Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework covering MiCAR, MiFID II, EMD/PSD II, AML/CFT, sanctions, consumer protection, outsourcing, and other applicable Austrian and EU regulations.

Serve as the designated Compliance Officer (where applicable) and act as the primary liaison with Austrian and European regulatory authorities.

Advise the Management Board and senior leadership on regulatory obligations, compliance risks, and emerging regulatory developments.

Develop and maintain the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, conducting thematic reviews and ongoing monitoring activities to assess regulatory adherence.

Establish and oversee compliance risk assessments, identifying areas of regulatory exposure and ensuring timely remediation of identified findings.

Provide independent review and challenge of new products, business initiatives, strategic projects, and outsourcing arrangements to ensure regulatory compliance is considered from inception.

Oversee regulatory reporting obligations and support regulatory inspections, audits, and licensing activities.

Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.

Partner closely with Legal, Risk, AML, Product, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and Internal Audit to ensure a coordinated approach to regulatory compliance.

Review financial promotions, marketing communications, and customer-facing documentation to ensure compliance with applicable EU regulatory requirements.

Build and foster a strong compliance culture through training, awareness initiatives, and ongoing guidance to employees and management.

Lead, coach, and develop the Compliance team while establishing scalable processes and governance suitable for a rapidly growing regulated financial institution.

University degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, or another relevant discipline. Professional compliance certifications are an advantage.

Minimum of 8 years of compliance experience within financial services, fintech, digital assets, banking, payment institutions, or investment firms, including several years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of Austrian and European regulatory frameworks, particularly MiCAR, MiFID II, E-Money Directive, Payment Services Directive, AML/CFT, sanctions, outsourcing, and financial crime regulations.

Demonstrated experience building or significantly enhancing compliance frameworks within regulated financial institutions.

Experience working directly with financial regulators, including regulatory inspections, licensing processes, and supervisory engagement.

Strong understanding of governance, compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, compliance risk management, and internal control frameworks.

Ability to balance regulatory expectations with commercial objectives while maintaining independence and sound judgment.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives and collaborate across multiple business functions.

Proven leadership experience in developing high-performing compliance teams within fast-paced, evolving organizations.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex regulations into practical business guidance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German proficiency is an advantage.

High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a highly regulated environment.
