About the Role
You'll build a predictable growth engine across both sides of the Alt marketplace, sellers and buyers. Instead of running one-off marketing tests, you'll turn today's experiments into real, instrumented, repeatable systems that move the north star metric of unique submissions. You'll partner closely with the founder and marketing lead, own the funnel end to end, and have the opportunity to grow into leading the growth function over time. You'll think like a PM, build like an engineer, and take on a high-ceiling seat with real ownership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of engineering experience with strong backend (Python, Postgres, AWS or similar) and frontend (React, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript) chops
- A track record of owning growth systems or product features from design to production
- Fluency with growth tooling and analytics, including experimentation/A/B frameworks, product analytics (PostHog, Amplitude, or similar), attribution (AppsFlyer or similar), and lifecycle platforms
- A sharp instinct for funnels, instrumentation, and turning messy data into clean, trustworthy signal
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Bonus: familiarity with the collectibles space or alternative asset marketplaces
Responsibilities
- Rebuild the submission funnel end to end and instrument every step
- Run a real experimentation loop including A/B testing and re-engagement for users who exit without submitting
- Identify which channels acquire users on both sides including lifecycle, SEO, AEO, paid, and mobile ads
- Build machinery to scale acquisition channels that work
- Optimize how Alt ranks and shows up in AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini
- Stand up clean attribution systems
- Consolidate product analytics into a single source of truth
- Modernize messaging and deep-linking stack
- Build owned, instrumented lifecycle infrastructure for push, in-app, email, and SMS
- Ensure SMS opt-in compliance
- Monitor balance across bidders, buyers, and sellers and build growth into the weak side
