About the Role
You'll take ownership of shop floor operation for a variety of additive manufacturing machines, delivering hardware with flexibility and a scrappy, get-it-done attitude. You'll be hands-on with high value, computer-controlled equipment, comfortable operating it safely and confidently. When challenges arise, you'll dig in to find creative solutions and collaborate with experts and leaders to keep production moving. You'll thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, staying focused, self-directed, and eager to learn on the fly. You'll be responsible for the mechanical systems that support additive operations, including gas and fluid plumbing and general shop floor equipment. You'll perform manual support removal with air tools, de-power parts using a Solukon system, and operate EDM equipment to cut parts from build plates. You'll keep the shop floor clean and organized, taking ownership of 5S activities and providing feedback to drive continuous process improvement. You'll maintain the equipment and tools that keep the manufacturing process running smoothly. You'll work safely while handling heavy objects and metal powders, using your strong knowledge of hand and power tools to get the job done. You'll manage digital work orders, following computer-based directions and giving feedback to engineering staff to improve process documentation.
