Chief Compliance Officer (UAE)

About the Role

You will own the compliance agenda end-to-end, ensuring readiness for VARA expectations, ongoing supervision, and scalable controls as volumes grow. You will operate as VARA's day-to-day interface, working closely with the CEO who is expected to demonstrate clear judgement and credibility during regulator engagement. You will establish credibility with VARA early, leveraging prior UAE regulatory relationships to de-risk the set-up. You will act as connective tissue between Dubai market realities and Coins.ph leadership, keeping the build aligned to international expansion priorities. You will bring a builder mentality, staying hands-on and comfortable with ambiguity, and create momentum fast from a standing start, balancing commercial pace with regulatory credibility and control integrity.

Requirements

• Senior compliance leader (UAE resident) with 5+ years relevant experience
• Hands-on exposure to regulated financial services environments aligned to VASP / fintech / payments
• Comfortable operating as the primary regulator interface
• Prior UAE regulatory engagement experience preferred
• Able to be accepted as a Responsible Individual
