Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead a small business development team while directly contributing to the growth and revenue targets of our crypto payment solution.
This is a hybrid role requiring strong leadership, strategic planning, and direct sales execution. You will be expected to develop new business opportunities, manage key merchant and partner relationships, and coach BD team members to reach team-wide KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing BD team focused on crypto payment adoption
- Define and manage BD team OKRs/KPIs, track sales pipelines and revenue performance
- Set strategic priorities for merchant acquisition, partner integrations, and channel growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Product, Compliance, Ops, Marketing) to drive business alignment and support execution
Direct Sales & Partnership Execution
- Personally lead high-impact partnerships: crypto-friendly merchants, PSPs, wallets, aggregators
- Identify and close new business opportunities that align with our Pay product’s growth strategy
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships with enterprise merchants and global payment enablers
- Negotiate and execute commercial deals with clear revenue or usage outcomes
- Drive crypto payment use case development in e-commerce, gaming, travel, or financial services sectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Technology-related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development or strategic sales, with at least 2+ years in a managerial or team lead role
- Proven success in closing high-value deals and building B2B partnerships (ideally with crypto payments, fintech, or PSPs)
- Solid understanding of crypto payment systems, stablecoin settlement models, and payment infrastructure
- Experience managing or mentoring junior BDs or account executives
- Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills
- Startup mindset: hands-on, flexible, and outcome-driven
- Fluent in English (Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus)
- Willing to travel for key meetings and events
