About the Role
You will be responsible for growing business in the areas of the Department of War (DoW), reporting to the Senior Vice President of Growth and collaborating closely with Engineering, Technology, Legal, and Finance departments. You will lead outreach to the DoW customer community, drive strategic planning for that portfolio, and act as a voice for the customer in internal development. You will serve as a capture manager, creating and leading new opportunities from initial customer engagement through to fully awarded contracts. This position can be performed remotely from an approved location.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in aerospace/defense with 5+ years in Business Development
- Able to build a plan and execute with clear ownership and minimal oversight
- Experience working with business development on USG captures and supporting and/or leading proposals
- Demonstrated success capturing space business within the DoW/IC
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment
- Able to travel up to 35% of time
- Active DoW TS clearance
- Master's degree in technical field preferred
- Demonstrated experience delivering to DoW/IC preferred
- Previous Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility preferred
- Experience with remote sensing satellite development and/or mission operations preferred
- Experience working with a diverse set of U.S. Government DoW, IC and Civil customers preferred
- Understanding of systems engineering processes and system architectures preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive near term and long term growth for Muon Space in DoD
- Lead customer engagement, pipeline development and capture efforts
- Provide thought leadership in the development and synthesis of a cohesive and executable strategy for target organizations
- Identify new opportunities and lead capture throughout pipeline stages to support company growth targets
- Create, maintain and implement customer engagement plans
- Lead proposals and RFI responses, develop win themes, engage with engineering on technical solutions, develop Price to Win, write content and review submissions
- Leverage tools and processes to track and manage opportunities
- Collaborate with other BD personnel and engineering on opportunities
- Provide input from customers into the product technology roadmap
- Work with Legal and Finance on opportunities
