About the Role
You will support the planning and delivery of events, manage venues, suppliers, invitations, registration and on-the-day logistics, and prepare event materials. You will map technology-governance organisations and contacts, follow up with guests, maintain the contact database, support coalition meetings and joint activities, and monitor developments across the field.
Requirements
- Entry-level internship for a motivated graduate
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in any subject
- Native-level written and spoken English fluency
- Event, community or membership experience is a plus
- Organisation, clear writing, people skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Interest in emerging technologies and technology-governance communities
- Eligibility to undertake an internship in Belgium
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of events
- Manage venues, suppliers, invitations, registration and on-the-day coordination
- Prepare agendas, name badges, signage and briefing notes
- Map organisations and people working on technology governance in Europe
- Follow up with event guests through thank-you notes, summaries and introductions
- Maintain and grow the contact database
- Prepare for coalition meetings, take notes and track follow-up actions
- Coordinate joint activities with peer organisations
- Monitor developments across the wider field
