About the Role
You will keep teleoperation and robot data-collection rigs operational through hands-on mechanical, cabling, and basic electrical work. You will diagnose failures, make repairs and improvements, build fixtures, support new workcells, and gradually contribute mechanical designs to robot development programs.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 1+ years of hands-on experience building or maintaining electromechanical hardware
- Proficiency with hand tools, basic electrical troubleshooting, connectors, and cabling
- Working proficiency in 3D CAD such as SolidWorks
- Oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to occasionally travel
- US work authorization
Responsibilities
- Maintain teleoperation and data-collection rigs, fixtures, and supporting hardware
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and cabling issues
- Build, modify, and improve rigs and fixtures
- Track recurring failures and improve rig designs and spares strategy
- Support bring-up of new rigs and workcells
- Prioritize repairs and improvements with program managers and technicians
- Support robot development programs through mechanical design tasks
