About the Role
You will own FX strategy, market-making strategy, and the Philippines OTC/FX trading team. You will manage pricing, liquidity, risk, profitability, governance, reporting, and cross-functional trading initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 10+ years of trading experience in FX, digital assets, or market making, including 3+ years leading a trading team.
- Proven record of running profitable FX or market-making strategies with disciplined risk management.
- Deep understanding of FX markets, liquidity, pricing, and execution.
- Hands-on market-making or liquidity-provision experience.
- OTC trading and institutional or large-ticket client management experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a regulated payments, exchange, bank, or trading firm environment.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Established relationships with banks, liquidity providers, market makers, and OTC counterparties.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute FX trading strategy across payment corridors and currency pairs, focusing on PHP and emerging-market currencies.
- Manage pricing, spreads, execution quality, and liquidity sourcing for cross-border flows.
- Coordinate hedging and exposure management with Treasury.
- Design, operate, and improve market-making strategies for exchange order books.
- Manage external market maker and liquidity provider relationships and agreements.
- Collaborate on trading systems, pricing engines, algorithms, and connectivity.
- Build, lead, hire, manage, and train the Philippines OTC/FX trading team.
- Oversee OTC client pricing and execution for large-ticket fiat and crypto trades.
- Grow OTC volumes and client relationships with Sales and Business teams.
- Establish and enforce trading risk frameworks and limits.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, internal policy, AML/KYC, and market conduct standards.
- Report PnL, exposure, volumes, spread capture, and desk KPIs to senior leadership.
- Support audits, regulatory inquiries, market entries, and product launches.
