What you'll do
- Work closely with the Senior Manager to research, analyze, and document technical accounting conclusions under IFRS, US GAAP and other applicable local GAAP.
- Prepare high-quality technical accounting memos and position papers on complex topics, including but not limited to revenue recognition, financial instruments, consolidation, share-based compensation, and digital assets.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures across different reporting frameworks.
- Assist in monitoring new accounting standards and regulatory developments, and support implementation efforts across the organization.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for areas involving complex accounting judgments and estimates.
- Liaise with external auditors and advisors on technical accounting matters, audit requests, and accounting conclusions.
- Partner with the broader reporting teams to support periodic reporting activities, such as financial statement preparation, disclosure support, audit deliverables, and reporting packages
- Support ad hoc technical accounting projects, including market expansion, new entity setup, M&A activity, restructuring, or other strategic initiatives.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA, HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry.
- Big 4 audit or advisory experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical accounting foundation, with experience in IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Experience in FinTech, digital assets, or technology companies is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research complex accounting issues and develop well-supported conclusions.
- Excellent business communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with teams across different functions, seniority levels, and geographic locations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.
- High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
