The Role: Member of Technical Staff (Applied AI)
The Senior Applied AI Engineer will play a pivotal role in defining how AI agents navigate the web. This individual will focus on building open-source frameworks and high-impact demos, while simultaneously refining the developer experience to ensure the platform remains indispensable for AI engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Development: Build and maintain open-source tools and libraries that simplify the integration of AI agents with browser environments.
- Performance Benchmarking: Design and implement evaluation frameworks to measure the reliability and efficiency of browser-based AI tasks.
- Product Iteration: Move fluidly between frontend, backend, and model integration to ship full-stack features end-to-end.
- Technical Advocacy: Produce high-quality technical documentation and posts that unpack complex engineering challenges and learnings.
- Customer Collaboration: Act as a technical partner for early adopters to ensure successful implementation of the platform's infrastructure.
- Engineering Excellence: 4+ years of experience writing high-quality, production-grade code.
- AI-Native Workflow: A heavy user of AI agents within a day-to-day coding environment.
- Full-Stack Capability: Proven experience shipping product features from design through to model integration.
- Developer Focus: A strong interest in developer tooling and clear opinions on developer ergonomics and API design.
- Communication: Exceptional technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Product Sense: Strong intuition for product-market fit and the ability to prioritize features that drive developer value.
