About the Role
You will own engineering end-to-end, covering people, architecture, hiring, delivery, and quality across all squads. You will build an AI-native organization where AI becomes the default for writing code, tests, reviews, and deploys, aiming for a measured 3 to 5x output increase per engineer. You will ship an AI-powered one-stop-shop for money, including autonomous agents and personalized financial guidance built on proprietary data. You will set the 10-year technical vision and grow the engineering brand to attract top talent. You will lead 30 engineers across web, mobile, and backend, partner closely with Product, Data, and Ops, and help shape overall company strategy. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CEO.
Requirements
- Have personally led an AI-native transformation at a 20+ engineer org with before/after metrics to prove it
- Have scaled an engineering team to 30+ in a high-growth startup
- Are backend-strong and still hands-on today, ready to code the first AI agent yourself
- Are an AI Pioneer who has rebuilt their own workflow around AI and shipped AI for others
- Build A-player teams that follow you across companies
- Manage your own money actively and have a point of view on investing
