The Impact you will have in this role:
The Enterprise Test Engineering ("ETE") family is responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. The ETE family encompasses three major areas including (a) functional testing, (b) non-functional testing, and (c) test architecture and enablement. Other key focuses include: regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing. Develops, conducts, and evaluates testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. In-depth knowledge of automated testing tools, and quality control and assurance approaches including the creation of reusable foundational test automation framework for the entire organization. The Performance Test Engineering role is responsible for the validation of non-functional requirements for performance testing.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Deepen understanding of the DTCC Software Delivery Process and proactively identify opportunities for improvement within assigned responsibilities.
- Execute performance test scenarios based on user stories, requirements, and application architecture.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance performance test scripts using Apache JMeter and other automation frameworks.
- Design and implement test automation solutions to support performance, scalability, and resiliency validation.
- Create and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to automate performance test execution, reporting, and continuous validation.
- Develop and maintain Groovy-based Jenkins pipeline scripts for test orchestration and automation workflows.
- Execute and manage performance tests using BlazeMeter, including test scheduling, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations to development and engineering teams.
- Track execution of performance test scenarios and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Build knowledge of Delivery Pipeline components and recommend enhancements to improve automation, efficiency, and reliability.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products, applications, and business processes being delivered.
- Follow DTCC performance engineering standards, policies, and procedures in day-to-day activities.
- Demonstrate strong technical ability to develop scripts, write code, and automate testing processes.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities to monitor, mitigate, and appropriately escalate risk.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Performance Engineering, Test Automation, Software Development, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Hands-on experience developing and executing performance tests using Apache JMeter.
- Experience using BlazeMeter for performance test management, execution, reporting, and analysis.
- Experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience developing automation solutions using Groovy scripting.
- Strong programming experience in Java and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with Python for automation, test engineering, scripting, and data processing.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git/Bitbucket.
- Understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and Continuous Testing practices.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within and across teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to review deliverables and ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Java development, including APIs, multithreading, Spring Boot, and enterprise application frameworks.
- Experience developing and maintaining Groovy scripts for Jenkins pipeline automation.
- Experience integrating JMeter and BlazeMeter within CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Python development for automation and tooling.
- Experience with React development, including building and maintaining modern web-based applications and dashboards.
- Ability to troubleshoot application and performance issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working with enterprise-scale distributed systems and cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting high-volume transactional applications in financial services environments.
- Familiarity with resiliency testing, failure mode analysis, and non-functional requirements (NFR) validation.
