As a DevOps Engineer reporting to Sr. Director – Software Engineering of Nasdaq Market Surveillance team, you'll play a meaningful role in strengthening the quality, reliability, and consistency of deployment and automation capabilities that power Nasdaq's global SaaS platform for market surveillance clients.

Build, develop, and maintain CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines that increase test coverage, delivery reliability, and operational consistency.
Contribute directly to customer onboarding, upgrade, and delivery projects, supporting the SaaS delivery team with hands-on technical execution.
Apply strong back-end engineering skills — including Linux/Unix proficiency and Python/scripting — to build, improve, and maintain automation tooling.
Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure specialists to ensure deployment automation integrates cleanly with shared platforms and delivery workflows.
Document DevOps tooling, workflows, and operational processes to reduce knowledge dependency and improve delivery confidence across the team.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a Linux back-end DevOps Engineering role, building automation capabilities within SaaS environments.
Proven track record to develop and operate end-to-end development workflows — from local build and test through CI/CD pipeline validation to controlled production rollout.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and proven experience building and maintaining deployment and test automation pipelines.
Clear communicator who can detail technical processes and collaborate effectively across engineering and delivery teams.
Experience with AWS-based SaaS environments or comparable cloud platforms.
Familiarity with containerized build and deployment workflows, or low-risk deployment strategies (e.g., blue-green deployments).
Background in financial services, market infrastructure, or regulated/change-controlled environments.
This position is located in Sydney, Australia, and offers a hybrid work environment with at least 2 days per week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
