With this position we offer
Join the Global Technology organization’s Enterprise Architecture and Performance Engineering group, where you will be part of the Solutions Engineering Team. Here, you will work directly with Nasdaq development teams and Client engineers, collaborating to find practical solutions to real problems.

Role and responsibilities:

As a Principal Enterprise Architect, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bengaluru/Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Lead Application Architecture and Design — Define and govern end-to-end application architecture across systems, ensuring designs are scalable, resilient, and aligned with Nasdaq's global technology standards. Evaluate trade-offs across architectural patterns and provide clear technical direction to engineering teams.

Drive Software Development — Contribute to and oversee the development of high-quality software solutions using Java, C++, and Python, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices across the development lifecycle.

Own Performance Tuning and Optimization — Identify performance bottlenecks across applications and infrastructure layers, and lead initiatives to optimize system efficiency, latency, and resource utilization in both development and production environments.

Manage Production Deployments — We plan and execute production deployments across Cloud and On-Premises environments, ensuring minimal disruption, strong release governance, and adherence to operational and security standards.

Collaborate Across Global Teams — We partner closely with Nasdaq engineering, product, and infrastructure teams across multiple geographies — including Bengaluru and international locations — to align on technical direction and deliver outcomes that meet global business requirements

We expect you to have:

• 12-15 years delivering software and solutions into production
• Software engineering, with cloud computing, with particular focus on networked applications.
• Clear communications with an ability to build networks within the broader organization
• Proven experience in software design and development, taking the product(s) into production
• Experience supporting production systems
• A combination of experience working with Java, C++, Scripting languages
• Keen curiosity about technical solutions, independent thinking, and experience with modern software development methodologies
• Ability to listen, have a collaborative work style but brave when expressing observations and potential solutions
• The initiative, adaptability with a willingness to learn and tackle challenges
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
• Education Qualification- Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics

• Distributed Application Design
• Trading Application Experience (nice to have)
• Experience with Machine Learning workflows
