What you'll do
- Responsible for technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, operational continuity, and custody/safekeeping of virtual assets.
- This officer fulfills two governance purposes:
- (a) it prevents the accumulation of incompatible functions in a single individual; and
- (b) it directly addresses Article 2(IV) of Resolution 519 (“compatibility of the information technology infrastructure with the complexity and risks of the business”) by placing a specifically designated and technically qualified officer in charge of IT infrastructure.
- Given the nature of Bitget's operations as a digital asset exchange, this function will likely receive focused attention from the BCB during pre-operational inspection (Art. 25 of Resolution 519).
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus. Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, including at least 3-5 years specifically in information security and 3-5 years in a CTO or similar role.
- Deep understanding of information security principles, best practices, and relevant technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability management tools, cryptography, SIEM).
- Expertise in software development, systems architecture, and IT infrastructure management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in cross-cultural settings.
- Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate communication with the Asia-based team.
