What you'll do
- Own and improve the end-to-end finance booking workflow: map current state, identify gaps, design improved logic, and implement changes with system and finance teams
- Deliver quick wins within weeks—identify highest-impact, lowest-friction improvements and execute rapidly
- Act as product owner for finance workflow tools: groom backlog, write requirements, prioritize with IT and ops, and drive UAT
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment across Finance, Product, and Technology teams
- Build and maintain process documentation: SOPs, flow diagrams, control matrices, and exception logs
- Support the Finance COE in building a transformation roadmap: standardize first, automate second, integrate third
- Identify opportunities for AI tools to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and speed up reporting; pilot and scale solutions
- Monitor implementation results and iterate based on key metrics
What you'll need
Education & Core Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in finance process optimization, workflow design, financial systems implementation, or business process management — preferably in tech, fintech, or financial services
- Proven track record of leading end-to-end finance transformation initiatives or large-scale process improvement projects
Technical & Functional Expertise:
- Deep understanding of finance booking processes, transaction flows, and general ledger accounting
- Hands-on experience with financial systems (ERP, accounting software) and workflow automation tools
- Solid knowledge of internal controls, SOPs, and process documentation best practices
- Familiarity with product management methodologies and backlog prioritization frameworks
- Experience working with AI/automation tools or identifying automation opportunities in finance operations is a strong advantage
Competencies & Soft Skills:
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive results with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to translate between finance, product, and technology teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; comfortable with ambiguity and complexity
- Adaptable and resourceful; thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments where processes are still evolving
- Demonstrated ability to balance quick wins with long-term transformation roadmaps
Languages:
- Fluent English (written and verbal) for cross-functional collaboration
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
