What you'll do
- Assist in the AFSA license application process and maintain ongoing compliance.
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct AML/CTF monitoring, including transaction reviews and suspicious activity reporting (SAR).
- Perform risk assessments and internal audits to identify gaps.
- Liaise with AFSA and other regulators (e.g. AIFC).
- Train staff on compliance protocols and AML updates.
- Investigate breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated on Astana and Kazakhstan's crypto regulations and global trends.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years in compliance within financial services/crypto/fintech.
- Expertise in AFSA regulations, Astana and Kazakhstan AML laws, and international standards (FATF).
- Certifications: CAMS, ICA Diploma in AML, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis).
- Knowledge of cross-border compliance challenges.
