Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close end-to-end for assigned entities, ensuring journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and reporting schedules are completed accurately and to deadline
Prepare and submit the complete IFRS reporting package to Group Finance for consolidation, including reporting templates, supporting disclosure schedules, related party transaction schedules and intercompany confirmations, and mapped to the group chart of accounts and delivered within the group reporting calendar
Own the local statutory to IFRS bridge for assigned entities by maintaining documented, rolling adjustment schedules with clear rationale, ownership and prior period tie, capable of withstanding auditor challenge
Agree intercompany balances bilaterally with counterparty entities ahead of the group submission deadline, so that differences are resolved at source rather than surfaced during consolidation
Reconcile bank, exchange, wallet, digital asset, trading and intercompany balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies with the relevant business, treasury and operations teams
Prepare statutory financial statements for assigned entities, including all notes and supporting disclosure schedules, under IFRS and applicable local reporting frameworks
Manage the statutory audit end-to-end for assigned entities, owning the audit timetable, schedules and information requests, responding to auditor queries, and driving findings and management letter points through to resolution
Own regulatory reporting and filing obligations for assigned entities, coordinating with company secretarial and external service providers to meet all statutory deadlines
Identify technical accounting issues arising at entity level and escalate to the technical accounting team with a well-formed recommendation and supporting analysis; implement agreed positions accurately in the books and reporting package
Establish, implement and continuously improve close processes, financial controls and working paper standards, including automation of manual reconciliation workflows
Partner with treasury, operations, legal, compliance and the in-house tax team to ensure reporting and documentation comply with applicable regulations and professional standards
Job Requirements:
Core qualifications and technical foundation
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and a recognised professional accounting qualification (CA Singapore, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
Minimum 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience, of which at least 5 years must have been gained in a Big 4 audit practice
Strong working knowledge of IFRS, with proven ability to research, conclude and document positions independently and to prepare a full set of financial statements including notes
Working knowledge of group reporting requirements, including reporting package completion, group accounting policy and chart of accounts mapping, intercompany agreement and adjustment schedules
Demonstrated ownership of a full close cycle across multiple entities, including group reporting submission and statutory audit delivery — this is a hands-on ownership role, not a review-only or oversight position
Strong problem-solving skills and sound commercial judgement — able to operate with limited precedent and reach defensible conclusions under time pressure
Able to work to a fixed group reporting calendar with disciplined, predictable submissions, and to flag issues early with a quantified impact assessment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and reporting systems (Oracle/Hyperion, SAP, NetSuite or equivalent) is an advantage
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English and Chinese to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across the group
Prior experience at a cryptocurrency exchange, digital asset firm or regulated financial institution is a strong advantage
A strong desire to learn about cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, and to stay informed of industry developments and regulatory trends
