Join us as a Chief Risk Officer.
Education & Experience —Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Law, Business Administration, or related field. —Several years of senior experience in risk management, compliance, or related leadership roles — preferably within a regulated financial services, fintech, or crypto exchange environment.
Technical & Professional Skills —Strong knowledge of the crypto ecosystem, blockchain technology, and digital asset risk exposures. —Deep understanding of EU regulation affecting crypto and financial services (e.g., MiCA, AML/KYC frameworks). —Experience building and operating enterprise risk frameworks in a dynamic, high-growth environment. —Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. 1.
Risk Strategy & Policy —Develop and implement risk management policies, frameworks, and procedures tailored to WhiteBIT’s EU operations. —Continuously refine risk frameworks to reflect changes in internal operations and external conditions (market, tech, regulatory). —Ensure the risk appetite, limits, and thresholds are clearly defined, communicated, and adhered to. 2.
Risk Identification & Monitoring —Identify and assess risks across operational, financial, cyber, liquidity, compliance, and strategic domains. —Implement systems and methodologies to measure, monitor, and report risk exposures. 3.
Reporting & Communication —Produce internal risk reporting (e.g., quarterly risk maps, annual risk assessments) for executive leadership and the board. —Provide actionable recommendations and insights to executive management based on risk trends and scenarios. 4.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment —Work closely with legal, compliance, and audit teams to ensure risk management practices meet EU regulatory requirements. —Support regulatory reporting, risk disclosures, and compliance with frameworks applicable to CASPs and financial services. 5.
Operational and Technology Risk —Evaluate the adequacy of technology risk controls (including cybersecurity and system resilience). —Assess third-party risks, internal processes, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans. 6.
Risk Culture & Awareness —Promote a strong risk-aware culture across teams and business units.
Conduct training or briefings for staff on risk policies and emerging threats. 7.
Incident & Breach Response Oversee risk incidents, coordinate response actions, and lead post-mortem analysis to prevent recurrence.
Preferred Certifications (Plus) Professional certifications such as CRISC, CAMS, FRM, or equivalent risk/finance credentials are beneficial.
